Job Summary: Sewing and garment assembly operator responsible for garment assembly, operation of industrial machinery, quality control, and preventive maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Assembly and garment construction following technical specifications 2. Operation of industrial sewing machines and various sewing techniques 3. Quality control and preventive equipment maintenance RESPONSIBILITIES: **1\. Sewing and Garment Construction Operations** * **Garment Assembly:** Joining fabric pieces according to technical and design specifications. * **Machinery Operation:** Operating industrial sewing machines (flatbed, overlock, collar attachers) for joining, reinforcing, or decorating. * **Sewing Techniques:** Performing straight seams, curved seams, hems, attaching zippers, buttons, and pockets. **2\. Production and Quality** * **Quality Control:** Inspecting garments to detect seam defects, broken threads, or fabric flaws. * **Goal Achievement:** Maintaining productivity and meeting timelines set by the supervisor. **3\. Preparation and Maintenance** * **Machine Setup:** Threading the machine, installing bobbins, and adjusting thread tension. * **Material Selection:** Selecting appropriate needles, threads, and stitch types for each fabric. * **Preventive Maintenance:** Cleaning and lubricating the sewing machine, reporting malfunctions to the mechanic.
