Opportunities for improvement in import processes The Import Assistant will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all activities related to the import process of goods. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing logistical time and costs, and guaranteeing accurate documentation and traceability for each operation. The assistant will closely collaborate with international suppliers, customs agents, and various internal departments (logistics, accounting, procurement, etc.). **Main Responsibilities:** * Manage international purchase orders, verifying terms, conditions, and delivery schedules. * Verify and ensure proper receipt and validation of import documentation (Bill of Lading, invoice, packing list, certificates, etc.). * Track and control payments related to goods nationalization and logistics services. * Coordinate directly with customs agents to ensure agile, incident-free processes. * Maintain an up-to-date import database, ensuring traceability and control of each operation. * Identify opportunities for improvement in import processes and propose corrective or preventive actions. * Record all import costs. * Perform cost estimation for each import. * Other duties related to the position as assigned.
