




Job Summary: An environmental or OSH&MS professional responsible for updating legal frameworks, drafting reports, supervising operations and waste management, monitoring environmental agents, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages legal requirements and drafts mandatory environmental reports. 2. Conducts inspections, supervises waste management, and monitors environmental agents. 3. Participates in audits and trains staff on good environmental practices. EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional experience in environmental management or OSH&MS. EDUCATION * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines with a focus on resource management. * A postgraduate diploma or accredited specialized courses in Environmental Management, Implementation and Internal Audit of ISO 14001:2015, or proficiency in Peruvian environmental legislation applicable to the sanitation and industrial sectors is desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES * Updates and verifies the Legal Requirements Matrix monthly, conducting gap analyses to identify new obligations arising from changes in national or regional regulations affecting business continuity. * Drafts and manages submission of mandatory reports to relevant authorities, including Environmental Performance Reports and annual declarations, ensuring information accuracy and timely submission as required by law. * Conducts scheduled and unannounced environmental inspections at work sites to verify operational effectiveness of controls. Requires preparation of inspection reports with photographic evidence and follow-up on corrective actions. * Assists in collecting lifecycle information on waste generated within the operational unit—from source segregation to final disposal. Includes supervision of temporary storage facilities, logistical coordination with Solid Waste Operating Companies (SWOCs), and verification of transfer guides and final disposal certificates to ensure traceability. * Supervises environmental agent monitoring campaigns (water quality, air quality, emissions, occupational/environmental noise, and soil), ensuring contracted laboratories comply with sampling protocols and hold valid INACAL accreditation. * Ensures all documented information of the Environmental Management System (procedures, management plans, work instructions, and records) remains up-to-date, accessible to relevant personnel, and protected against use of obsolete versions. * Supports dynamic updating of the Environmental Aspects and Impacts Matrix (EA&IM), evaluating how operational process changes affect the organization’s environmental risk profile and proposing new preventive controls. * Actively participates in preparation and execution of internal, external, and certification audits. After audits, leads technical follow-up to effectively close identified non-conformities by analyzing root causes to prevent recurrence. * Designs and delivers induction sessions, technical trainings, and “5-minute talks” focused on good environmental practices, raising staff awareness about resource conservation and pollution prevention. * Supervises maintenance and availability of spill-containment kits and emergency equipment. In case of incidents (leaks, spills, or fires), supports activation of contingency plans, participates in cause investigations, and proposes improvements to response measures.
