ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Job Description At **Expertec Perú**, a company specializing in electrical, electromechanical, and maintenance services, we are looking for an **Electrical Engineer** to support the evaluation, planning, quotation, execution, and supervision of electrical projects. We seek a responsible, organized individual with strong technical capabilities to conduct client site visits, analyze requirements, calculate material and labor quantities, prepare competitive quotations, and properly supervise work execution. Job Objective To plan, budget, and supervise electrical projects, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with the technical specifications requested by the client. Key Responsibilities * Conduct technical site visits to client facilities. * Gather information regarding required electrical work. * Assess site conditions where services will be performed. * Prepare technical diagnoses and solution proposals. * Prepare quotations for electrical projects, services, and maintenance. * Calculate required quantities of materials, equipment, tools, and labor. * Request and compare material prices from various suppliers. * Prepare detailed budgets and cost analyses. * Calculate direct costs, indirect costs, operating expenses, and profit margins. * Prepare take-offs and material lists. * Prepare technical and economic proposals for clients. * Follow up on submitted quotations. * Coordinate with the commercial department regarding client inquiries and requested modifications. * Prepare work schedules. * Supervise the execution of electrical installations. * Coordinate activities of technical and operational staff. * Verify compliance with drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications. * Supervise low- and medium-voltage electrical installations. * Verify proper use of materials, equipment, and tools. * Monitor physical and financial progress of projects. * Identify additional work and prepare corresponding quotations. * Prepare technical reports, valuations, and progress reports. * Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal staff. * Participate in the preparation of electrical drawings and single-line diagrams. * Verify compliance with the National Electrical Code and other applicable standards. * Supervise compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. * Support project delivery, closure, and settlement. * Perform other duties related to the position. Quotation-Related Responsibilities The professional must have experience or knowledge in: * Interpreting client requirements. * Conducting technical site visits to collect data. * Preparing electrical take-offs. * Calculating materials, equipment, man-hours, and execution time. * Preparing unit price analyses. * Requesting quotations from suppliers. * Comparing brands, prices, specifications, and delivery times. * Preparing technical and commercial budgets. * Determining direct and indirect costs. * Calculating the project profit margin. * Preparing clear technical and economic proposals. * Justifying costs included in a quotation. * Making modifications when the client changes the scope of service. * Following up on submitted proposals until a response is received. * Ensuring actual project costs do not exceed the budgeted amount. Requirements * Bachelor's degree, licentiate, or graduate in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum one to two years of experience in electrical projects or services. * Experience preparing electrical quotations and budgets. * Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical installations. * Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems. * Ability to interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams. * Knowledge of take-off preparation. * Knowledge of calculating materials, equipment, and labor. * Familiarity with the National Electrical Code. * Knowledge of electrical safety and occupational safety. * Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Basic or intermediate-level proficiency in AutoCAD. * Familiarity with budgeting software such as S10 or similar (desirable). * Valid driver’s license (desirable). * Availability to conduct technical site visits and fieldwork. * Willingness to travel when required by the project.
