Position Summary: We are seeking a Safety Engineer for an open-pit gold mine with experience in mining operations. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in open-pit mining operations 2. Direct hiring onto the payroll of the company holding the mining concession ***Safety Engineer*** for the Corihuarmi Mining Unit, located 4 hours from Huancayo, Junín, at an altitude exceeding 4800 msnm. Current work regime is 20 days on / 10 days off, with a salary of **S/2,500.00 gross per month, NOT negotiable**. * Minimum 3 years’ experience in open-pit mining operations. * Valid driver’s license. * Education in mining and occupational safety. * **Licensed and certified.** This vacancy is for direct hiring onto the payroll of the company holding the mining concession (i.e., the mine owner); it is NOT a contractor position. All statutory benefits applicable to private-sector employees are provided (CTS, AFP/ONP, bonuses, family allowance for your children, etc.). Salary payments are made during the first days of the month following the month worked. For example: October’s salary is paid during the first days of November; November’s salary is paid during the first days of December, and so on. We are an open-pit gold mine located 4 hours from the city of Huancayo, at an altitude of 4900+ msnm. Here we provide accommodation, meals, and personal protective equipment (PPE) at the mine camp. The internet available at the site is not very strong, thus video calls or WhatsApp calls—or any internet/cellular-based applications—are not supported. Some workers have jointly subscribed to private internet service; however, this is a personal decision and at individual expense.
