Job Summary: Coordinate and manage electrical resources for mining projects, leading teams and supervising the development of technical documentation across all project phases. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design of substations and medium- and high-voltage power lines. 2. Leading teams in developing technical documentation for underground mining. 3. Supervising the design of substations and power generation systems. An opportunity is currently available to join AtkinsRéalis as a Senior Electrical Engineer within the Minerals and Metals Division. **Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and manage electrical resources according to the scope assigned to the electrical discipline in projects. * Design medium- and high-voltage substations, medium-voltage overhead lines, and medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution in the mining sector. * Review electrical studies including power flow, short-circuit analysis, protection coordination, harmonics, and overhead power lines. * Prepare proposals by developing deliverables and estimating man-hours (HH) according to the scope requested by the client; * Develop conceptual trade-offs for hydrocarbon and mining projects, preparing high-level capex and opex estimates (based on information and experience from similar projects); * Lead assigned engineering teams to manage and develop technical documentation (documents and drawings) for the electrical discipline in underground mining projects at conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering levels. * Supervise work performed by a team comprising designers, intermediate engineers, and junior engineers to develop design deliverables for high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and power generation substations; HV and MV overhead lines; and MV and low-voltage (LV) electrical distribution. **Requirements:** * Academic Qualification: Licensed and registered Professional Electrical or Electromechanical Engineer. * Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial and mining sectors — design of HV and MV substations, power generation systems, HV and MV overhead lines, and medium- and low-voltage distribution in underground mines. * Desired experience in construction and/or supervision of underground mining installations Knowledge and application of international standards ISA, ASME, ANSI, ISO, NACE, IEC, NEC, API, NFPA * Software Proficiency: Intermediate Office, intermediate AutoCAD, Navisworks (for visualization), DLTCAD, PLSCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, EMTP, DIALux. * English Proficiency: Advanced **Application Process:** * Applications are accepted exclusively through our corporate careers portal; applications submitted via other channels will not be accepted. * We contact only shortlisted candidates for interviews. * Relocation expenses are not covered.
