QUALITY SUPERVISOR – METAL-MECHANICAL **Department:** Quality **Location:** Ancón \- Workshop **Employment Type:** Full-time **JOB OBJECTIVE** Supervise and ensure the quality of the company’s products and manufacturing processes, verifying compliance with drawings, technical specifications, applicable standards, and customer requirements — both for metal structures and for fasteners and metal-mechanical components. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * Supervise quality control throughout manufacturing processes. * Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of structures, parts, and components. * Verify materials, certificates, traceability, and compliance with specifications. * Monitor cutting, preparation, assembly, welding, drilling, and finishing processes. * Verify the manufacture and quality of anchor bolts, structural bolts, studs, nuts, washers, plates, and inserts. * Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Verify tolerances, dimensions, threads, welds, and finishes. * Prepare quality protocols, reports, and records. * Manage observations and non-conformities, coordinating their correction with Production. * Coordinate inspections and releases with customers and/or third parties. * Support the preparation and organization of quality dossiers. REQUIREMENTS * Technician or graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Metal-Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control within metal-mechanical workshops. * Experience in metal structures and fasteners/fixings. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Knowledge of welding processes and dimensional control. * Familiarity with ASTM, AWS, and/or AISC standards. * Knowledge of materials, bolts, nuts, washers, and fastening systems. * Proficiency in using measuring instruments. * Experience preparing quality protocols and dossiers. **COMPETENCIES** * Orderliness and responsibility. * Attention to detail. * Technical judgment. * Ability to collaborate effectively with Production. * Effective and assertive communication. * Ability to identify and resolve quality issues. * Skill in preparing reports and technical documentation. * Proactivity and results orientation.
