Job Summary: We are seeking a highly self-managed Full Stack Developer to lead the geospatial stack, transforming spatial data into actionable business insights. Key Highlights: 1. Lead the end-to-end geospatial stack 2. Work with a modern, well-defined tech stack 3. Participate in a real-world geospatial project At **GrowBy**, we connect top talent with high-impact international projects. We are currently looking for a **Full Stack Developer** with strong self-management capabilities to join as the key and first specialist in one of our designated business verticals, collaborating with a multinational team. **Your mission in this role** As a Full Stack Developer with a GIS focus, you will transform spatial data into business-ready information: maps, layers, geographic queries, and territorial analysis. You will own the entire geospatial stack—from data modeling to map viewers. Here, data has geometry, projection, and coordinate reference systems—fundamentally changing how it is modeled, queried, and rendered. **What you’ll do:** * Model spatial databases on PostgreSQL and PostGIS: geometries, spatial indexes, coordinate reference systems, and projections. * Write and optimize geospatial queries: intersections, buffers, distances, and proximity analysis. * Configure and administer GeoServer: workspaces, layers, SLD styles, tile caching, and access control. * Publish and maintain standard OGC services (WMS, WFS, WMTS, WCS) as required by the project. * Develop secure and efficient REST APIs exposing business logic and spatial data. * Build map viewers using OpenLayers, Leaflet, or Mapbox GL, including cartographic interaction features. * Containerize applications with Docker and maintain Kubernetes deployment manifests. * Write tests, comply with SonarQube quality gates, and participate in code reviews. **What we’re looking for:** Essential requirements: * Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, or related fields—or demonstrable equivalent experience. * 3–4 years of software development experience (backend or full stack). * Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with GIS tools (PostGIS and GeoServer) in real projects—not academic exercises or proof-of-concept demos. * Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. Nice-to-have qualifications: * Kubernetes at the consumption level: deploying and diagnosing your own application. * QGIS, GDAL/OGR, PROJ, and other geospatial processing tools. * Vector tiles, MapServer, or Tegola. * Experience in domains with strong territorial components: cadastral systems, agro-industry, mining, telecommunications, urban planning, logistics, or risk management. * Prior experience with ESRI (ArcGIS Server / ArcGIS Enterprise). * Intermediate technical English. **What we offer:** * Payment per hourly rate (RxH), paid promptly. * 100% remote work from anywhere in Peru. * Participation in a real-world geospatial project—not legacy system maintenance. * Work with a modern, well-defined tech stack: PostGIS, GeoServer, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and SonarQube. * End-to-end support from the GrowBy team throughout the selection process. Employment type: Full-time Application question(s): * Are you available to work Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM? * How long have you held your current position? * What is your hourly rate for this service? Work location: Remote
