Participation in incident investigations **Job Opening: Junior Occupational Safety Engineer** **Employment Type:** Full-time **Work Location:** On-site – Metropolitan Lima **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. **Job Mission** Provide technical support to the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Department in hazard identification, risk assessment and control, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a preventive safety culture across company operations. **Main Responsibilities** * **Field Inspections:** Participate in daily site walkthroughs, identify unsafe acts and conditions, and prepare findings reports. * **IPERC and PETS Development:** Update IPERC matrices and safe work procedures under supervision of the senior engineer. * **Basic Training:** Support delivery of 5-minute toolbox talks and introductory training sessions for new personnel. * **Document Management:** Maintain up-to-date records, incident statistics, and legal OSH documentation folders. * **Incident Investigation:** Collaborate on investigations (ICAM/Causal Tree methodology), collect evidence, and draft preliminary reports. * **Corrective Action Follow-up:** Verify closure of findings from internal and external audits. * **Safety Culture Promotion:** Lead safety campaigns and develop visual materials (posters, bulletins) reinforcing safe practices. **Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or graduate in Occupational Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields with OSH specialization. * **Experience:** 1 year in occupational safety roles (pre-professional internships considered). * **Knowledge:** * Peruvian OSH legislation * IPERC, PETS, and legal requirements matrix methodologies * Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * **Skills:** Effective communication, attention to detail, proactivity, and teamwork. **Benefits** * Formal employment from day one, including **CTS**, biannual bonuses, ESSALUD health insurance, and vacation entitlement. * Internal and external OSH training opportunities. * Positive work environment and participation in corporate recognition programs.
