Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced engineer in Disaster Risk Assessment Studies (EVAR) to coordinate and develop studies under the CENEPRED methodology, integrating technical inputs from internal specialists. Key Highlights: 1. Coordination and development of EVAR studies using CENEPRED methodology. 2. Collaboration with internal specialists (geology, hydrology, hydraulics). 3. Opportunity for growth into greater technical responsibility. **CALL FOR APPLICATIONS** **About Us** We are an engineering consultancy specializing in hydraulic, hydrological, and hydrogeological studies; irrigation and drainage systems; riverbank protection works; and preparation of technical files. **What We Are Looking For** An engineer with experience in **Disaster Risk Assessment Studies (EVAR)** using the CENEPRED methodology, capable of leading such studies within our team while leveraging our internal specialists in geology, hydrology, and hydraulics. We are not merely seeking a coordinator: we seek someone who can assemble the study by integrating the team’s technical inputs and deliver a document nearly ready for review and signature. Main Responsibilities * Structure the EVAR (hazard, vulnerability, and risk analysis) according to the current CENEPRED guideline. * Coordinate with internal specialists (geologist, hydrologist, hydraulic engineers) to obtain technical inputs for each component. * Draft the study report, prepare vulnerability tables, and perform risk calculations. * Generate basic thematic maps (hazard, vulnerability, risk) using GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS). * Finalize the technical file for review and signature by the responsible specialist. Candidate Profile * Civil, environmental engineer, geographer, or related discipline. * Prior experience in disaster risk or EVAR studies. * Knowledge of the CENEPRED methodology. **(Mandatory)** * Experience in EVAR for health centers/hospitals. **(Mandatory)** * Experience in **flood risk assessment**. **(Highly valued)** * Experience in hydraulic projects, or at least the ability to read and integrate third-party hydrological/hydraulic studies. **(Desirable)** * Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) for map production. * Ability to coordinate with other specialists independently—without constant supervision—and to request appropriate inputs and advance work accordingly. What We Offer * Participation in EVAR studies for public procurement projects (health sector and others). * Direct collaboration with PRZ’s technical team (geology, hydrology, hydraulics). * Opportunity to grow into greater technical responsibility. **Other Requirements** * Specialized training in the field. Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary, Freelance Application Question(s): * Please state your salary expectation. * Open field for applicants to highlight added value, relevant projects, specialization, or any other detail they consider important.
