We seek a PHP / Java Spring Boot Backend Developer passionate about the development, maintenance, and modernization of enterprise applications, capable of working with both legacy systems and new scalable, high-performance backend solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining, evolving, and supporting applications developed in PHP, as well as developing new backend services using Java with Spring Boot. You will participate in technological modernization initiatives, component decoupling, system integration, and REST API development to support critical business processes. You will work in a collaborative environment, applying best development practices, agile methodologies, and modern tools to ensure software quality, security, traceability, and maintainability. We seek a candidate with proven experience in PHP and Java, oriented toward problem-solving, technical analysis, and continuous improvement. We have a technical team that accompanies our clients from analysis through to final project implementation. Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in backend application development. Proven experience in maintenance and development of applications using PHP. Experience developing backend services using Java 17 or higher with Spring Boot. Experience building, consuming, and integrating REST APIs. Experience working with legacy systems and performing analysis and refactoring of existing code. Knowledge of Spring Web, Spring Data JPA, DTOs, entities, repositories, services, and controllers. Proficiency with Composer for dependency management in PHP. Experience with unit testing using JUnit and Mockito. Proficiency with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, including SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views. Knowledge of Git for version control and collaborative development via branches, commits, and Pull Requests. Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth 2\.0, or equivalent. Experience documenting APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger. Knowledge of development best practices, including Clean Code, SOLID principles, design patterns, and technical documentation. Ability to perform technical analysis, incident resolution, and solution optimization. Basic knowledge of Docker, Linux, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), pipelines, and deployment processes across DEV, QA, and Production environments. Additional Assets Experience with SQL Server. Knowledge of microservices architecture, hexagonal architecture, or modular architecture. Experience with code quality tools such as SonarQube or SonarCloud. Knowledge of API Gateways, preferably Kong. Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
