Description

Position Summary: Supervise the implementation of the safety, occupational health, and environmental management system to reduce losses and ensure operational continuity. Key Responsibilities: 1. Occupational Safety and Health Risk Supervision and Control 2. SSOMA Advisory Services and Training 3. Accident Analysis and Hazard Identification **Role Objective:** Supervise compliance with all components of the safety, occupational health, and environmental management system to minimize process deviations that could result in harm to personnel, equipment, and/or operational continuity. **Main Responsibilities:** * Monitor the action plan for controlling identified risks. * Participate in developing the baseline IPERC and ensure its required updates. * Advise line management on generating risk inventories for all processes related to risk prevention. * Deliver SSOMA training, inductions, and workshops to workers according to the established program. * Prepare monthly SSOMA management reports, including accident frequency indicators and incident reports. * Conduct accident analyses using the tools and methodologies defined by the HSEC system. * Identify worker exposure agents to hazards. * Halt operations or work activities in high-risk situations until such hazardous conditions are eliminated or minimized. * Ensure continuous supervisor presence during high-risk activities, as determined by risk assessment. * Report SSOMA program progress and compliance status to the SSOMA Manager. * Supervise the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment protection measures (including technical specifications and quality certifications). * Supervise compliance with the SSOMA Management System (integrated HSEC\-PSM corporate management system), internal safety policies, manuals, and regulations applicable to both internal and external personnel. **Experience:** * Preferred: 4 years in safety and/or SSOMA roles within mining operations. * Preferred: 2 years of experience in blasting operations. **Education:** * Degree holder and registered professional in mining engineering, geology, metallurgy, or related fields. * Specialized training or education in safety and environment, with a minimum duration of 120 hours. **Desired Knowledge:** * Familiarity with laws, decrees, and regulations concerning safety and environment in mining operations
