Procurement Specialist Engineer

Position Summary: We are seeking a professional to identify, evaluate, and develop strategic suppliers; negotiate contracts; manage purchase orders; and optimize procurement processes. Interdepartmental collaboration to achieve objectives **Responsibilities** * Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic and potential suppliers. * Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and supply agreements. * Maintain and strengthen business relationships with existing suppliers. * Coordinate and update the supplier database. * Manage purchase orders and conduct continuous follow-up. * Ensure compliance with established delivery timelines. * Monitor and control costs of acquired materials and services. * Analyze and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement department efficiency. * Ensure materials and components meet required technical specifications and quality standards. * Coordinate with engineering and quality departments to resolve supply-related incidents. * Manage supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance processes. * Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and policies. * Conduct cost analysis and implement strategies for cost optimization and expense reduction. * Prepare periodic reports on procurement status and supplier performance. * Track and report procurement progress via the ERP system. * Prepare economic and technical comparisons of received quotations. * Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency. * Utilize inventory management tools and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. * Promote interdepartmental collaboration to ensure project objective achievement. **Requirements** * University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, other related engineering disciplines, Business Administration, or Commerce. * A Master’s degree or specialization in Supply Chain or related fields is desirable. * Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within the industrial sector. * Experience in water treatment plant projects is desirable. * Experience in technical procurement and acquisition of mechanical equipment for industrial projects. * Strong negotiation skills with suppliers regarding pricing, terms, and conditions. * High analytical capability for handling and evaluating technical and financial information. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure. * Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and multidisciplinary teams.
