Job Summary: We are seeking a Repair Technician to verify the safety and functionality of mining equipment, conduct thorough inspections, and perform or supervise repairs while preparing detailed technical reports. Perform or supervise repairs and prepare technical reports At JRC, a leading provider of mining services with operations in Peru, Canada, and Mexico, we are searching for top talent to fill the position of Repair Technician. Requirements: * Graduate Technician in Maintenance or related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience in mining or related industries. * Solid knowledge of trackless equipment (Mandatory) * Knowledge of electromechanical and hydraulic systems of equipment. * Valid Class AI driver's license. * Availability to work in Comas and travel to project sites. Responsibilities: * Verify compliance, safety, and functionality of equipment, ensuring adherence to regulations and specifications. * Ensure that equipment—whether new or repaired—meets safety, quality, and manufacturer specifications, as well as current legislation. * Conduct thorough inspections (visual, functional, diagnostic) to identify any anomalies, wear, or defects in critical components. * Use tools and techniques to determine root causes of issues in repaired equipment, and assess the overall condition of rented or new equipment. * Perform or supervise necessary repairs, ensuring they are carried out by qualified personnel under safe conditions. * Prepare detailed technical reports, including evidence (photos), lists of inspected items, identified irregularities, and prioritized recommendations (repairs, adjustments). * Conduct functional and performance tests to confirm equipment operates as intended and is safe for use. * Ensure implementation of safety measures (e.g., energy source lockout) during inspections and repairs, and verify equipment poses no risks to users. * Maintain clear records of inspection and maintenance history.
