Job Summary: We are seeking an expert welder with experience in mining or heavy industry to perform 3G welding tasks and repair chutes, handling SMAW/FCAW processes. Key Highlights: 1. Proven experience in chute repair 2. Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols 3. Experience in high-risk work (height, hot work, confined spaces) **REQUIREMENTS:** * Completed secondary education or technical training in welding. * Valid 3G welding certification (mandatory). * Minimum 3 years’ experience as a welder in mining or heavy industry. * Proven experience in chute repair (wear, cracks, hardfacing). * Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols. * Experience in high-risk work (height, hot work, confined spaces). * Availability to work under mining shift schedules and at high geographical altitude. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Perform 3G (vertical-up) welding on metallic structures and components. * Carry out repair, reinforcement, and cladding of chutes (hoppers, ducts, and mineral transfer systems). * Apply SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) and/or FCAW (flux-cored arc welding) processes as required. * Prepare surfaces (cleaning, beveling, grinding) before and after welding. * Interpret welding blueprints and technical specifications (WPS). * Perform hot work in compliance with permits and safety procedures. * Inspect weld bead quality and perform necessary corrections.
