POSITION SUMMARY The Data Center Monitoring Specialist is responsible for ensuring the continuous, secure, and efficient operation of the data center’s critical infrastructure. Their primary function is real-time monitoring of electrical systems, HVAC, fire suppression, electronic security, and other associated equipment using specialized monitoring tools such as Building Management System, Data Center Infrastructure Management, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. Additionally, they ensure all systems operate within parameters established by internal policies and industry standards, proactively managing incidents via the IT Service Management platform to maintain high service availability. This role requires technical expertise, analytical capability, incident leadership, and effective coordination with vendors and internal teams. * RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitor and supervise real-time operation of data center electrical, HVAC, security, and fire protection systems, verifying normal operating conditions. * Manage alarms, incidents, and emergencies: respond immediately, lead corrective actions, and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors. * Monitor operation of generator sets, fuel consumption, and environmental conditions in critical rooms, timely requesting replenishment of supplies. * Coordinate, supervise, and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities performed by vendors and specialists (electrical, electromechanical, and HVAC). * Prepare technical reports, power and energy consumption trend reports, equipment performance reports, and root cause analysis of incidents. * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, CAD drawings, and infrastructure change records for the Data Center. * Validate access for external personnel, and entry/exit of equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with security policies. * Ensure adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements) related to infrastructure availability and performance. Actively participate in technical training and ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, regulations, and procedures for the role. * QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Job Qualifications: * Minimum 4 years’ experience in monitoring data center infrastructure (precision and comfort air conditioning, UPS, STS, generators, CRAC, transfer panels) preferred. Basic knowledge in refrigeration, UPS, and electric generators for data centers.
