Electronic Blasting Programmer

Description

Job Summary: A professional responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing blasting processes, ensuring product stock availability, and preparing reports, training, and customer support. Key Responsibilities: 1. Blast planning and coordination 2. Blast process design and execution 3. Product training and customer support RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plan and coordinate tasks with personnel involved in blasting operations. * Ensure adequate stock levels of DaveyTronic products at the operation site. * Verify availability of required resources at the operation site or request them as needed. * Perform blast design, programming, connection, checking, charging, and detonation processes. * Collect data from blasting operations and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on performance indicators, progress, anomalies, downstream post-blast result tracking support, and improvement opportunities. * Conduct product training sessions covering product features and properties. * Ensure customer needs are met by addressing their requirements and expectations. * Coordinate blasting activities with the customer and provide related process reports. REQUIREMENTS: * Preferably 2 years of experience in mining * Preferably 1 year of experience with electronic initiation systems * Mining technician or related field * Knowledge of explosives and detonators: usage and properties * Blasting design software * Knowledge of initiation sequence design * Preferably Class AIIB license
