Job Summary:
Provide technical support and after-sales service for the proper handling and use of blasting services, explosives, and blasting accessories in mining.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support and after-sales service for the proper handling, manipulation, and use of our services, explosives, and blasting accessories in both open-pit and underground operations.
**SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS**
* Coordinate with mine departments responsible for task or work area assignment to conduct follow-up, monitoring, evaluation, implementation, and recommendations of drilling and blasting patterns, aiming to optimize blasting performance indicators using our accessories and explosives.
* Enter the mine heading to the assigned work area(s) under the direction of the responsible department, driving the company-assigned vehicle accompanied by designated personnel for site reconnaissance.
* Monitor, collect, and evaluate executed blasting data prior to implementing recommendations to identify errors and failures in personnel performance and adherence to current or established blasting standards.
* Control explosive quality, including emulsion viscosity and density, and ammonium nitrate granulometry.
* Verify whether measured density values fall outside specified ranges and immediately notify the Field Supervisor.
* Prepare daily reports of density measurements conducted during the day and submit them to the Resident Engineer. d) Verify data transmission communication in the centralized blasting system.
* Direct wiring installation for blasting.
* Install wiring toward the blasting face.
* Verify and program the BCU.
* Label electronic detonators.
* Comply with regulations and guidelines stipulated in the mining occupational safety and health regulation.
* Coordinate blasting works and procedures, including drill pattern design and determination of loading factors.
* Adequately plan the mining schedule and long-hole drill design. **Recommend appropriate explosive usage based on rock mass quality. e) Maintain control of consumables and blasting accessories required for explosive detonation in drill holes to optimize explosive and accessory consumption.**
* Place explosive orders in coordination with the commercial team according to the monthly progress and production schedule, ensuring minimum stock levels and business continuity for the client.
* Coordinate with section supervisors regarding drilling and blasting. **Review priming, tie-in diagrams, detonator placement, charging, and stemming to ensure optimal blasting conditions.**
* Control explosive quality, including density, fluffing, and other parameters.
Requirements:
* Valid AIIB driver’s license.
* Minimum two years’ prior experience in underground mining operations. **Knowledge of electronic detonators. (Desirable)**
Salary: S/.2,000.00 – S/.4,000.00 per month
