Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Splicer Technician to perform splicing, certify links, install cables, and carry out maintenance, ensuring the integrity of optical infrastructure. Key Highlights: 1. Optical fiber splicing execution and optical link certification 2. Installation and maintenance of optical fiber infrastructure 3. Fault response and emergency repairs We are looking for a **FIBER OPTIC SPLICER TECHNICIAN** with immediate availability for various districts across Metropolitan Lima. Requirements * Reside in areas adjacent to Comas, Surquillo, or Cercado de Lima * **Technical degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.** * Specialized training courses in optical fiber splicing (certification preferred). * Proficiency in using OTDR and optical measurement equipment. * Minimum of 1 year of experience in optical fiber splicing or related work. Responsibilities * Perform optical fiber splicing via fusion and conduct reflectometry (OTDR) and power meter testing. * Certify optical links to ensure appropriate power levels. * Install ADSS, drop, OPGW, or other project-specific optical fiber cables. * Install NAP enclosures, splice closures, branch points, and optical distribution points. * Operate specialized tools and equipment: fusion splicer, OTDR, power meter, cleaver, stripper, etc. * Conduct preventive maintenance on enclosures, splice closures, and optical routes. * Respond to reported faults and execute emergency repairs. * Update infrastructure records, coordinates, routes, and performed splices. * Prepare test reports, measurement records, and activity summaries. * Adhere to safety procedures and standards (working at heights, fiber handling, PPE). * Verify proper sealing and hermeticity of splice closures to prevent moisture damage. * Identify field risks and report incidents or findings.
