Position Summary: We are seeking a Customs Assistant to coordinate and monitor import operations, including goods nationalization and document management. Key Highlights: 1. Manages and coordinates import and customs clearance operations. 2. Collaborates with customs agents and international suppliers. 3. Maintains control over shipments and customs documentation. We are currently looking for a **Customs Assistant** to join our team and provide support in managing and monitoring our import operations. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Coordinate with **Customs Agents** on the goods nationalization process. * Review and validate import documents: **Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (BL), Certificate of Origin, and other related documents**. * Track shipments from origin to port arrival. * Monitor the **customs clearance and nationalization** process of goods. * Verify that document information matches the goods, purchase orders, and system records. * Coordinate with suppliers, customs agents, warehouses, and transportation companies to ensure smooth operational flow. * Coordinate the **collection of nationalized goods** and their transfer to our warehouses. * Maintain up-to-date control of **shipments, customs releases, waybills, duty assessments, and customs documentation**. * Support the review and control of **duty assessments, port charges, storage fees, and other import-related costs**. * Support the tracking and updating of **import costs** per shipment or product. * Manage and monitor permits, licenses, registrations, or other required documents based on the type of goods. * Coordinate with authorities such as **SUNAT, SENASA, DIGEMID, or others**, as applicable. * Communicate with international suppliers to request, correct, or complete import documentation. * Promptly identify and report **documentary discrepancies, inconsistencies, or omissions** that may delay nationalization. * Organize and maintain updated **physical and digital archives** for each import’s documentation. * Prepare reports and tracking dashboards for import operations. * Provide administrative and operations support on matters related to **imports and foreign trade**. **CANDIDATE PROFILE:** Technical or university degree in **International Trade, International Business, Administration, Customs, or related fields**. Experience in **imports and/or customs operations**. Basic/intermediate knowledge of import documentation. Proficiency in **Excel** and office tools. Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple operations simultaneously. Effective communication and ability to coordinate with suppliers and external operators. Responsible, organized, proactive individual with problem-solving capability. Willingness to work onsite in **Central Lima**. **Work Location:** Jirón Lorenzo Vidaurre N.° 162 – Central Lima.
