Preparation of 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and designs. **Mechanical Designer** **Proyectos Vikingo** is seeking a **Mechanical Designer** to join our team and participate in the development of drawings, models, and technical documentation for engineering, industrial manufacturing, and assembly projects. Requirements * Technical degree in Mechanical Design, Technical Drawing, Mechanics, or related fields; or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines. * Minimum of **2 years** of experience as a Mechanical Designer, Mechanical Drafter, or in similar positions. * Experience preparing **manufacturing and assembly drawings** for industrial or metal-mechanical projects. * Proficiency in interpreting drawings and technical specifications. * Field survey experience is desirable. * Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes is desirable. Knowledge and Tools * **AutoCAD: intermediate or advanced level.** * **SolidWorks and Inventor:** familiarity preferred. * Familiarity with **AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, or Revit** is desirable. * 2D and 3D modeling of mechanical components and systems. * Preparation of manufacturing, assembly, parts breakdown, and construction detail drawings. * Preparation of bills of materials (BOM) and quantity take-offs. * Reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings. * Knowledge of materials, tolerances, dimensions, and manufacturing criteria. * Understanding of cutting, bending, machining, welding, and assembly processes. * Familiarity with technical standards such as **ASME, ASTM, ISO, DIN, and AWS** is desirable. Main Responsibilities * Prepare and update manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings. * Develop 2D and 3D mechanical models and designs. * Prepare detail drawings, parts breakdowns, isometrics, and technical documentation. * Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of materials according to project requirements. * Process information collected during field technical surveys. * Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly departments. * Review and update drawings based on technical feedback. * Provide support during manufacturing and assembly to ensure correct interpretation of designs.
