In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority and knowledge leader for our Oracle Linux KVM virtualization environment. You will be responsible for architecture design, implementation, optimization, and providing expert\-level support to ensure our virtualization infrastructure operates at peak performance and reliability. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Serve as the primary SME for Oracle Linux KVM infrastructure, providing expert guidance and technical direction * Design, architect, and implement KVM virtualization solutions aligned with organizational standards and best practices * Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives * Mentor junior team members and provide technical training on KVM technologies ### **Skills, Knowledge, and Experience** **Required Experience:** * 5\+ years of hands\-on experience with Oracle Linux and KVM virtualization * 3\+ years in a senior or lead technical role with infrastructure management responsibilities * Demonstrated expertise in hypervisor management and virtual machine administration at enterprise scale * Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise\-scale virtualization infrastructure solutions * Track record of managing production KVM environments with high availability requirements * Experience with storage management and networking in virtualized environments * Background in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and implementing solutions * Hands\-on experience with performance tuning and system optimization in production environments **Technical Knowledge:** * Advanced proficiency in Oracle Linux (RHEL\-based) operating system architecture and administration * Expert\-level understanding of KVM/QEMU virtualization technology and hypervisor concepts * Deep knowledge of libvirt, virt\-manager, and related virtualization management tools * Strong understanding of storage technologies (iSCSI, NFS, Ceph, or similar block/file storage solutions) * Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, bonding, bridging, iptables/firewalld, network optimization) * Understanding of Linux kernel concepts relevant to virtualization (CPU scheduling, memory management, I/O optimization) * Knowledge of high\-availability and disaster recovery architectures * Familiarity with cloud platforms and KVM\-based cloud solutions (OpenStack, etc.) * Understanding of container technologies and their interaction with KVM environments * Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar) **Core Skills \& Competencies:** * **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non\-technical audiences. * **Analytical \& Problem\-Solving:** Superior analytical and problem\-solving skills, with a proven ability to investigate technical issues, analyze data, and propose viable, well\-reasoned solutions. * **Ownership \& Initiative:** A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive initiatives from conception through to completion with minimal supervision. * **Collaboration:** A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in cross\-functional teams. * **Stakeholder Management:** Ability to engage with and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders, including senior management, technical teams, and external partners **What’s in it for you:*** Private medical and life insurance from day one * Budget for professional growth (certifications) * Schedule flexibility. * Extra bonus based on performance.
