For more information, visit www.suse.com . Software Engineer **Job Description** Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Engage in cloud\-native related development and support work. Possess foundational knowledge and hands\-on experience in AI and LLM\-related technologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in technical problem\-solving and engineering scenarios. ***Responsibilities:*** * Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of container platform(Rancher \& Kubernetes), including container operating systems, container networking, utilities, related tools. * Provide advanced L3 R\&D support by driving deep technical investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex customer issues escalated from L1 and L2 support teams. * Designs, develops, and implements generative AI agent capabilities and related platform integrations for Rancher and Kubernetes ecosystems, including AI\-driven operational workflows, automation utilities, intelligent troubleshooting, and cloud\-native platform enhancements. * Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately\- complex products. ***Education and Experience Required:*** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent * Typically 0\-2 years experience ***Knowledge and Skills:*** * Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages. * Good analytical and problem solving skills. * Proficient in Cloud\-Native \& Kubernetes related skills. * Proficient in using Git and Github.
