Position Summary: Civil Engineer specializing in geotechnical engineering and structures to develop and validate geotechnical and structural components in sanitation projects. Key Highlights: 1. Preparation of soil mechanics studies and structural models **CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: CIVIL ENGINEER – GEOTECHNICAL AND STRUCTURAL SPECIALIST** **Position Objective:** To develop and validate geotechnical and structural components of technical files for sanitation projects, ensuring compliance with current regulations and sector quality standards. **1\. Candidate Profile** * **Education:** Civil Engineer (Bachelor's degree or fully qualified). * **Experience:** Minimum of 2–3 years of verifiable professional experience (counted from obtaining the Bachelor's degree). * **Specialization:** Specific experience in geotechnical studies, rock mechanics, and structural design oriented toward sanitation works (reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants, conveyance networks, pump chambers, etc.). * **2\. Technical Requirements and Software** Proficiency in the following modeling and analysis tools is mandatory: * **Structural Design:** Advanced proficiency in **SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE** (analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures). * **Geotechnical Engineering and Rock Mechanics:** Proficiency in **Slide** (slope stability), **RocData** (rock mass characterization), and **Dips** (kinematic and discontinuity analysis). * **CAD Environment:** AutoCAD and Civil 3D (intermediate level) **3\. Main Responsibilities** * Preparation and review of **soil mechanics studies (SMS)** and rock mechanics studies for foundations and alignment of conveyance lines. * Development of structural models for hydraulic infrastructure (ground-supported/elevated reservoirs, retaining walls, valve chambers). * Slope stability analysis and support system design for excavations in water and sewerage networks. * Preparation of calculation reports, structural drawings, and technical specifications for sanitation project files. * Interpretation of laboratory tests and definition of geotechnical design parameters. **4\. Additional Knowledge** * In-depth knowledge of the **National Building Regulations (NBR)** (Standards E.030, E.050, E.060\). * Familiarity with design criteria used by sanitation service providers (SSPs). * Ability to prepare precise technical reports oriented toward approval by reviewing authorities. **5\.
