Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the branch network in Peru by ensuring that specific individual objectives, plans, and initiatives are implemented or fulfilled in support of the team’s business strategies and goals. Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable internal standards, policies, and procedures.
What challenges will you face?
* Promote a customer-centric culture to deepen client relationships, thereby increasing key clients by leveraging the Bank’s relationships, systems, products, services, and expertise.
* Develop profitable businesses for the Bank within the Corporate Banking segment, safeguarding the quality of the assigned portfolio, expanding the client base, and proposing products and services to achieve market leadership and generate profits while minimizing risk to the Bank.
* Continuously engage in commercial management with both existing and prospective clients segmented within the mid-market corporate segment, providing financial advisory services and offering the Bank’s diverse range of products and services to support achievement of business goals and profitability.
* Identify needs of current and potential clients; propose and finalize products and services that meet those needs, aiming to maintain optimal resource acquisition and deployment, control profitability, and monitor collections (e.g., visit plans, calls, credit history reviews, commercial pipeline).
* Conduct commercial, financial, and credit evaluations of clients, preparing credit proposals that maximize profitability and minimize risk.
* Analyze and interpret financial statements; prepare memos for reconsideration and/or modification; assess equivalent risks; manage information for required Deals Forums and Strategy Forums.
* Evaluate performance of clients holding active and passive products, implementing cross-selling initiatives and fund withdrawal prevention measures to enhance client retention and deepen their engagement with Bank products.
* Perform prevention, recovery, and collection activities as appropriate, based on adequate monitoring of clients’ active-product portfolios, ensuring delinquency ratios remain aligned with the portfolio’s targeted profitability.
* Coordinate with coverage team units to improve the client experience—enhancing response times and optimizing overall portfolio management.
* Understand the Bank’s risk culture and how risk appetite must be considered in daily activities and decisions.
* Actively carry out effective and efficient operations within respective areas, while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls to fulfill obligations aimed at mitigating operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk—including responsibilities established under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, International Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Manual, and Business Conduct Guidelines.
What do we expect from you?
* Completed university degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
* Desirable specialized courses in the financial system offered by specialized institutes, lasting less than one year, or approximately one-year specialization programs in supporting topics.
* Minimum two years’ experience as Portfolio Manager or Corporate Banking Officer.
* Availability to work at branches across the region on a rotational basis.
