Development of training programs and updating of safety standards. **Geomechanical Engineer** **Position Objective:** Continuous supervision, design, and operational control of tailings management (surface), as well as supervision, design, and operational control in mine operations to ensure overall and physical stability of projects. **Responsibilities** * Review of geotechnical and/or geomechanical designs. * Monitoring control on surface and underground mine. * Supervision of execution of geotechnical and/or geomechanical projects. * Quality control of ground support. * Maintain updated information for regulatory inspections. * Propose new operational alternatives based on geotechnical and/or geomechanical evaluations. * Generate indicators based on ground support elements in Mine Operations. * Update standards enabling control and regulation of proper execution of geotechnical and/or geomechanical activities. * Halt operations posing geotechnical and/or geomechanical risks to personnel. * Develop training courses for supervisory and labor personnel. * Coordinate with related departments regarding supplies or requirements across various projects. * Report work related to various engineering activities. * Control design parameters of tailings deposits. **Requirements** * Licensed and registered Mining Engineer, Geologist, or equivalent. * Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles. * Postgraduate studies or specialization. * Proficiency in geotechnical and geomechanical software
