That’s how we continue to achieve extraordinary things in extraordinary locations. **Job description:** **Purpose of the Role** Plan and implement Minera La Granja’s sustainable development strategy, ensuring the design, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and initiatives that contribute to sustainable territorial development, strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and generate shared value for communities and the project. Additionally, the role is responsible for supervising the management of non-profit organizations and other implementing partners, ensuring efficient use of resources, achievement of established objectives, and appropriate program governance. **Key Responsibilities** * Plan and implement the project’s Sustainable Development Strategy, aligned with corporate objectives and the company’s social commitments. * Identify opportunities to promote local economic development, institutional strengthening, and improvement of community livelihoods. * Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of sustainable development programs in coordination with internal departments and external actors. * Supervise the technical, administrative, and financial management of non-profit organizations, associations, foundations, or other implementing partners. * Manage significant budgets allocated to social and development programs, ensuring efficient, transparent, and results-oriented use of funds. * Define performance indicators (KPIs), monitor outcomes, and implement continuous improvement actions. * Represent the company before national, regional, and local authorities; civil society organizations; cooperation agencies; academic institutions; and other stakeholder groups. * Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with communities, social organizations, and local leaders. * Manage complex stakeholder situations, promoting dialogue, negotiation, and the pursuit of sustainable solutions. * Coordinate with Community Relations, Land Access, Environment, Permits, and Operations teams to ensure integrated social management. * Identify social risks associated with sustainable development programs and propose mitigation measures. * Prepare executive reports for senior management on program progress, indicator compliance, budget execution, and risks. **Academic Qualifications** * Professional degree in Engineering, Economics, Administration, Social Sciences, Rural Development, Sociology, Anthropology, or related fields. * A master’s degree or postgraduate studies in Sustainable Development, Project Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Administration, or related disciplines are desirable. **Required Experience** * Minimum 10 years of professional experience. * At least 7 years of experience leading Sustainable Development or Territorial Development programs in large-scale mining companies. * Proven experience in mining projects during advanced exploration, feasibility, construction, or operations phases. * Candidates must specify in their CV the mining projects they have participated in, indicating their role, the company involved, and key responsibilities. * Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing social investment programs, local economic development, capacity building, productive development, and partnership management. * Experience managing, supervising, and strengthening non-profit organizations (NGOs, associations, foundations, or similar entities). * Experience administering substantial budgets while ensuring achievement of objectives, indicators, and outcomes. * Experience engaging with public agencies, international organizations, and cooperation entities is highly desirable. **Technical Knowledge** * Sustainable development applied to the mining sector. * Social performance and management in mining projects. * Strategic social investment. * Territorial development and local economic development. * Results-based management. * Budget administration and financial control. * Management of non-profit organizations. * Project management. * Social impact assessment. * Program monitoring and evaluation. * Social risk management. * International standards applicable to the extractive sector (e.g., ICMM, IFC Performance Standards, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, among others). **Competencies** *Technical* * Strategic planning. * Management of complex programs. * Financial resource management. * Analytical capability. * Development of indicators and performance tracking. * Contract and agreement management. *Personal* * Leadership. * Integrity and professional ethics. * Excellent negotiation skills. * Effective communication. * Decision-making. * Results orientation. * Ability to work under pressure. * Strategic thinking. * High influence capability. * Ability to build trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders. **Expected Profile** * A professional with solid technical judgment, firm character, and high credibility, capable of operating in complex social environments and representing the company before high-level stakeholders is required. * Candidates must demonstrate experience managing actors with divergent or conflicting positions—including communities, authorities, social organizations, community leaders, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholder groups—while maintaining a balanced, objective, and agreement-building orientation. * Additionally, candidates must exhibit strong goal-orientation, ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, and skill in administering high-impact social programs with strategic vision. * Availability to work on a 14 x 7 schedule at the La Granja project in Cajamarca.
