Opportunity for learning and professional development **FUNCTIONAL ANALYST** At **Novit**, a growing technology and software development company, we are looking for a **Functional Analyst Intern / Junior** to join our multidisciplinary team. We seek a **proactive, analytical, organized, and results-oriented** individual with interest in requirements analysis, software project management, and communication with users and technical teams. You will participate in **enterprise software projects**, collaborating closely with Development, QA, and client teams using agile methodologies such as **Scrum and Kanban**. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree or higher in **Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computing, Information Technologies**, or related fields. * **1–2 years** of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or Functional QA. **Not mandatory**. * Knowledge of **requirements elicitation and analysis**. * Knowledge of writing **User Stories** and **Acceptance Criteria**. * Familiarity with agile methodologies such as **Scrum and/or Kanban**. * Desirable knowledge of **UML and BPMN**. * Knowledge of **functional testing and QA processes**. * Desirable experience with project and ticket management tools such as **Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar**. **Competencies** * Effective communication with both technical and non-technical users. * Analytical and problem-solving skills. * Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. * Customer orientation. * Proactivity and autonomy. * Teamwork capability. * Ability to document and communicate requirements clearly. * Results orientation. **Responsibilities** 1\. **Backlog Management and Tracking** * Elicit, analyze, write, and maintain **user stories and functional requirements**. * Define clear and verifiable **acceptance criteria**. * Support backlog prioritization together with the client and technical lead, considering value, urgency, dependencies, and effort. * Participate in **backlog refinement and sprint planning sessions**. * Break down complex requirements into deliverable functional units. * Maintain traceability across **client request → requirement → development → testing → deployment**. * Track requirement status and report progress, blockers, and risks. 2\. **Functional Support / Help Desk** * Handle and log **user incidents and inquiries** using ticket management tools. * Classify requests by type, severity, and priority. * Perform first-level functional analysis: **reproduce scenarios, review information, validate data, and determine whether issues stem from user error or system defects**. * Document and escalate incidents to the Development team with clear information, reproduction steps, evidence, environment details, and impact assessment. * Track incidents until resolution. * Validate implemented solutions with users. * Contribute to creating and updating a **knowledge base**. 3\. **Functional Analysis and Documentation** * Prepare **functional specifications**, including objectives, scope, actors, business rules, workflows, validations, and messages. * Create **process and workflow diagrams**, using tools and notations such as UML/BPMN. * Document roles, permissions, fields, and functional structures as applicable. * Prepare **use cases and test scenarios** to support the QA team. * Develop user manuals and training materials. * Keep functional documentation up-to-date and version-controlled following approved changes. 4\. **Client Analysis Meetings** * Prepare agendas and materials for requirements gathering and analysis meetings. * Participate in and/or lead **requirements elicitation sessions**. * Identify business needs and translate them into requirements understandable by technical teams. * Facilitate communication among **clients, users, Development, and QA**. * Identify impacts, dependencies, constraints, and risks associated with requirements. * Draft meeting minutes documenting agreements, responsibilities, and commitment dates. * Follow up on agreed actions and commitments.
