Position Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Technician (Underground Mining) with experience in installation and maintenance of electrical systems in underground workings and on surface. Execution of complex electrical measurements and repairs Job Description: We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Electrical Technician (Underground Mining) to work at the SOLEDAD UM. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Certified Technician in Industrial Electricity or Electrotechnology (Mandatory). * Minimum 2 years’ verified experience in underground workings: installation of electrical panels, pump starters, distribution substations, cable laying, and lighting systems, as applicable (Mandatory). * Minimum 1 year’s verified experience on surface performing predictive, preventive, and/or corrective maintenance of electrical installations and general electrical equipment. * Completed electricity refresher course (Mandatory). * Completed electrical maintenance refresher course (Desirable). **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Insulation resistance testing (meggering) of power and control cables, motor windings, motor frames, distribution lines, transformers, etc. * Measurement of electrical parameters: current, voltage, power, power factor (cos φ), capacitors, etc. * Grounding system and equipment grounding resistance measurements. * Execution of electrical splices and use of tools. * Maintenance of power transmission systems. * Management of work orders (WOs). * Repair of electrical components and units. * Reading of electrical schematics and single-line diagrams. * Cleaning and adjustment of panels, motors, transformers, and switchgear at operational locations. * Installation and repair of electrical lines inside the mine. * Preventive and corrective maintenance of mine support equipment: electric motors, axial fans, horizontal and submersible pumps, power and distribution panels, transformers, grounding systems, and lighting systems in mining operations. * Commissioning/decommissioning of electric motors, low-voltage (LV) transformers in substations, electrical panels, switchgear, LV lines, motor starters, communication systems, grounding systems, and ventilation systems. **BENEFITS:** * Timely payments. * Meals, accommodation, and transportation provided.
