Knowledge of technical standards and certification processes At **HPD GLASSGROUP**, a company specialized in the design, manufacturing, and installation of glass solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, we are currently seeking a professional to supervise and ensure the proper execution of our on-site projects. We seek a professional with experience in **industrial process quality control**, ability to conduct and interpret glass testing, and knowledge of technical standards and certification processes. **Position Objective** Implement, execute, and monitor required glass testing to ensure compliance with technical standards and certifications necessary for marketing our products in domestic and international markets. **Main Responsibilities** * Participate in material testing and maintain corresponding records up to date. * Conduct testing and evaluation of tempered glass, laminated glass, and other types as required by certifying bodies and applicable regulations. * Implement and maintain the internal testing program mandated by certifying bodies. * Interpret technical standards such as ANSI Z97\.1, CPSC 16 CFR 1201, and ASTM. * Manage non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. * Coordinate with Production upon detection of deviations during testing. * Attend audits, inspections, and requirements from certifying bodies. * Maintain technical communication with certifying bodies in English. * Develop procedures and forms related to material testing. * Ensure compliance with instrument calibration plans. * Schedule instrument calibration services. * Perform review of critical materials and prepare corresponding reports. * Prepare and maintain test records, reports, and documentation. * Verify correct identification, traceability, and sampling of glass. * Report results of tested glass. * Propose improvement actions for testing processes and metrological management. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. * 3 years of experience in quality areas within industrial processes. * Preferred experience in laboratories or conducting tests for obtaining international certifications. * Knowledge of ISO 9001\. * Preferred knowledge of metrology. * Preferred general knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001\. * Intermediate technical English: reading, writing, and communication. **Competencies** * Knowledge and execution of material testing. * Ability to interpret technical standards in English. * Management of records, reporting, and traceability. * Analysis of results and identification of non-conformities. * Implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement. * Technical communication with Production and auditors. * Coordination capability across different departments. * Ethics, objectivity, and impartiality in test results.
