Job Description The accounting assistant is an individual with extensive experience in performing account reconciliations involving large volumes of data. The candidate must feel very comfortable using Excel to quickly organize and analyze data. Leveraging technology and improving processes will be a critical success factor in scaling our accounting operations as Efameinsa continues to grow. Daily responsibilities will include a variety of specialized record-keeping tasks related to processing and analyzing accounting transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, cash reconciliation, compiling tax data, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities \- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions \- Review financial statements to ensure that accounting principles were correctly applied \- Prepare reports for senior management on the financial status of the business to support strategic decision-making regarding future operations \- Prepare financial statements by identifying journal entries and general ledger items that need to be recorded in the accounting system \- Calculate taxes owed and prepare tax filing documents \- Examine accounting records and systems to ensure efficient reporting Qualifications \- 2 or more years of experience working as an accounts analyst \- Advanced technical knowledge of accounting practices, terminology, and principles \- Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and regulations applicable to financial operations and transactions. \- Excellent mathematical skills and ability to detect numerical errors \- Strong sense of responsibility and critical thinking Availability Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Work Location Av.
