This is how we develop mining—always aligned with change, supported by committed, inspired, and continuously developing people. **Join Nexa and be part of mining that moves with the world!** **\#WomenTalentInMining** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Advise and lead investigations of incidents and occupational accidents using the ICAM methodology, promoting root cause identification and effective corrective actions. * Prepare monthly OSH management reports, consolidating key indicators, trend analysis, and improvement proposals for project senior management. * Audit the performance and compliance of Project Area contractors’ Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring conformity with current regulations and corporate standards, and managing improvement actions. * Review and validate Safety Plans, Emergency Response Plans, and Baseline IPERC matrices, with emphasis on civil construction projects, structural erection, electromechanical installations, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and underground mine activities. * Monitor ongoing high-risk work and coordinate planning of controls for new critical activities. * Conduct periodic audits to assess strategic partners’ OSH management, identifying deviations and improvement opportunities. * Provide field operational support to project teams on safety matters, facilitating compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. * Implement, update, and disseminate OSH policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring proper understanding and application across all organizational levels. * Monitor compliance with the Annual Occupational Safety and Health Plan (PASSO), reporting progress and coordinating corrective actions based on results obtained. * Train and raise awareness among leaders, supervisors, and workers on safety, occupational health, critical controls, Golden Rules, and risk management. * Supervise implementation of critical controls, ensuring their operationality and effectiveness through field evaluations. * Ensure compliance with applicable national legislation across all operations, staying updated on sector-specific regulations. * Coordinate preventive and corrective actions arising from investigations, inspections, and audits, ensuring timely and effective responses. * Promote a robust safety culture through campaigns, visible leadership programs, and reflective spaces on lessons learned. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Degree in Mining, Metallurgical, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, duly licensed and registered with the professional association. * Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health. * Three years of experience supervising construction and mining projects. * Experience supervising structural erection, pumping systems, work-at-height, hot work, and conducting audits. * Proficiency in safety platforms and/or personnel access systems. * Expertise in accident investigation using the ICAM methodology and in risk management methodologies. * Valid A2 driver’s license **Additional Information** * Work Location: Pasco * Work Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off * **Contract: Fixed-term, for 12 months** At NEXA, we work in a diverse environment where people feel free to be themselves.
