**SCALER OPERATOR** **Andaychagua Unit (JUNIN)** **EDUCATION:** Complete secondary education **TRAINING** (COMPLEMENTARY): **Essential:** * Class A1 driver's license – No outstanding fines * Knowledge of safety, occupational health, and environmental issues. * Knowledge of scaler equipment **Desirable:** * Basic mechanical knowledge * Defensive driving skills **EXPERIENCE:** * Minimum of 2 years in the same position in underground mining **COMPETENCIES:** Commitment, Results orientation, Responsibility, Emotional agility, Leadership, Collaborative work, Planning and organization **FUNCTIONS SUMMARY:** 1\. Verify proper equipment operation using the respective checklist and transport it to the work area. 2\. Inspect and verify that the work area meets health, safety, and environmental conditions according to established standards and procedures. 3\. Verify that the work area is clear before operating the equipment and instruct the assistant to install lockout signs and perform shutdowns according to established procedures. 4\. Deactivate misfired shots (short holes or explosive residues) found in previous blast holes, following corresponding safety regulations. 5\. Perform rock scaling to allow safe working conditions. 6\. Park and secure the equipment upon completion of work, following company-established procedures. 7\. Report operational incidents and equipment issues to the supervisor according to company procedures. **CONDITIONS** .
