Position Summary: We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to develop designs and calculations for mechanical systems in mining and industrial projects, coordinating with other disciplines. Key Highlights: 1. Development of designs and calculations for mechanical systems in mining and industrial projects. 2. Participation in the design and evaluation of material handling systems. 3. Multidisciplinary coordination and technical support throughout all project phases. An opportunity has currently arisen to join AtkinsRéalis as an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer within the Mining and Metallurgy Division. **Responsibilities:** * Develop designs and calculations for mechanical systems in mining and industrial projects. * Prepare design criteria, calculation memoranda, technical specifications, and mechanical equipment data sheets. * Participate in the design and evaluation of material handling systems using belt conveyors. * Develop and review designs for chutes, transfer points, discharge systems, and bulk material handling systems. * Conduct technical analyses for the selection and sizing of mechanical equipment. * Coordinate interfaces with process, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. * Review and validate 3D models and drawings developed by designers and engineers. * Participate in design reviews, constructability analyses, and technical risk management. * Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. * Ensure deliverables comply with corporate standards, applicable regulations, and client requirements. **Requirements:** * Formal education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Experience: Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering for mining or industrial projects. * Experience in designing material handling systems. * Experience in developing basic and detailed engineering. * Experience working in multidisciplinary environments. * English: Intermediate level (desirable). **Application Process:** * Applications are accepted exclusively through our corporate careers portal; applications submitted via other channels will not be accepted. * We will contact only shortlisted candidates for interviews. * Relocation expenses are not covered.
