As leaders in innovation and technological development, we seek experts who drive sustainable development and deliver solutions to the world’s greatest challenges—such as global warming, overpopulation, and water scarcity.** **Job Description** **ACCIONA**, within its **INDUSTRIAL** business, requires hiring a Technical Construction Supervisor for a transmission line and substation project located in Cusco. **Mission:** ----------- Provide technical supervision of civil works associated with the project’s Substations (SSEE), ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with approved engineering designs, technical specifications, construction procedures, and project quality, safety, and environmental standards. The position shall provide direct support to the Site Manager and SSEE Resident Engineer, verifying on-site progress, quality, and correct execution of civil activities—including access roads, platforms, excavations, foundations, backfilling, concrete works, and auxiliary structures required for SSEE installation. **Candidate Requirements** **Responsibilities:** -------------- * ### **Supervise civil works execution for SSEE, including access roads, platforms, excavations, foundations, backfilling, concrete works, buildings, and auxiliary structures.** * ### **Verify that contractor-executed works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, construction procedures, and project quality criteria.** * ### **Monitor physical progress of civil activities on-site, reporting actual progress, constraints, deviations, and intervention needs.** * ### **Coordinate with the contractor on daily and weekly activity scheduling, ensuring work fronts have required information, resources, permits, access, and conditions to execute tasks.** * ### **Review proper execution of excavations, leveling, compaction, formwork, steel reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, curing, backfilling, and building construction in accordance with applicable technical standards.** * ### **Validate actual site ground conditions on-site, promptly alerting to discrepancies versus engineering data, interferences, slope instability, critical access points, or other conditions potentially affecting execution.** * ### **Coordinate with surveying and quality teams for necessary verifications prior to civil activity release—including layout surveys, levels, elevations, dimensions, compaction, reinforcement steel, and concrete.** * ### **Participate in inspection point and critical activity releases, ensuring compliance with protocols, records, and controls defined in the project’s Quality Plan.** * ### **Identify and report technical deviations, non-conformities, constraints, or construction risks, proposing corrective or preventive actions as appropriate.** * ### **Support review of executed quantities and contractor valuations, verifying reported quantities correspond to work actually performed and accepted on-site.** * ### **Coordinate with Safety, Environment, and Social Management to ensure civil activities are executed within authorized conditions and without compromising project commitments.** * ### **Record and report daily site progress, including executed activities, resources used, constraints, incidents, weather conditions, and photographic evidence.** * ### **Track closure of field observations, ensuring the contractor timely corrects identified deviations.** * ### **Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards during on-site civil works execution.** **Profile:** ----------- **Academic Qualification / Certification:** ------------------------------------- * ### **Technical diploma in civil construction, building construction, civil works, surveying, or related technical field.** * ### **Applicants with completed secondary education and proven field experience in civil works supervision—particularly in earthworks, excavations, foundations, concrete, access roads, or infrastructure projects—may also be considered.** * ### **Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role on electrical substation projects (mandatory).** **Additional Knowledge:** ---------------------------------- * ### **Technical courses in civil works, concrete, soils, or construction.** * ### **Basic ability to read and interpret civil drawings.** * ### **Knowledge of excavations, formwork, reinforcement steel, concrete pouring, curing, and compacted backfilling.** * ### **Basic proficiency in quantity surveying.** * ### **Experience working on dispersed or hard-to-access construction fronts.** * ### **Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental practices on construction sites.** * ### **Basic AutoCAD user level (desirable)** **Willingness to travel – YES** ----------------------------------- ACCIONA has received the Top Employer certification for 2024 and 2025.
