Growth projection **About Us** Ucar is the corporate mobility unit of **Ucariaga Group**. We are looking for the person who will build and lead Ucar’s financial control function from its foundations: standardizing, organizing, and ensuring the veracity of the information upon which company decisions are made, with the vision of integrating into the group’s consolidated reporting. **Purpose of the Role** To ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all Ucar’s financial information. The Controller is responsible for ensuring that financial figures are accurate, comparable, and available on time for decision-making: monthly closings, financial statements, budgetary control, internal control, and compliance. The Controller is the guardian of the company’s financial truth. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, implement, and maintain the **monthly accounting closing process**, ensuring timely and unqualified closings. * Prepare and consolidate **financial statements** (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) under IFRS and Peruvian regulations. * Develop and manage the **annual budget**, monitor **budget vs. actuals**, and explain variances with root-cause analysis. * Define and maintain the **chart of accounts** and accounting policies, standardizing criteria to enable comparability within Ucar and, in the future, across other group units. * Design and implement **internal controls** to protect assets and the integrity of financial information. * Supervise **billing, collections, payments, and bank reconciliations**, in coordination with Operations and Payments departments. * Monitor **cash flow** and liquidity, anticipating financing needs. * Manage **tax compliance** (filings, IGV, income tax, withholding taxes) and liaise with external accountants and SUNAT. * Produce and maintain **management reports and financial KPIs** for the General Management. * Coordinate **internal and external audits**. * Propose efficiency improvements and digitalization of financial processes. Requirements **Education** * Degree in Accounting, Administration, Economics, Finance, or related fields — desirable. * Valid professional license (CPC) — desirable. * Specialization or diploma in finance, management control, or taxation — valued. **Experience** * Experience in accounting, management control, or finance roles with responsibility for closings and financial statements. * Demonstrable experience preparing full financial statements and monthly closings. * Experience in service, transportation, logistics, or high-growth startup companies — valued. * Experience setting up or standardizing financial processes from scratch — highly valued. **Technical Knowledge** * Proficiency in **IFRS** and Peruvian accounting and tax regulations. * Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, data validation). * Experience with accounting software / ERP systems. * Knowledge of Peruvian taxation (IGV, income tax, withholding taxes, payroll).
