Job Summary: We are seeking a Welding Technician to join our team on mining, environmental, and agro-industrial projects, performing geosynthetic installation and welding, as well as equipment maintenance. We operate nationwide with strategically located plants in Piura, Arequipa, Trujillo, and Nazca. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Welding Technician or related technical degree * Minimum 2 years of experience as a Geosynthetic Welding Technician on mining projects (leaching, process ponds), environmental projects (sanitary landfills), or agro-industrial projects (water reservoirs). * Material Proficiency: Demonstrable hands-on experience simultaneously working with HDPE/LLDPE geomembranes (common thicknesses from 1\.0 mm to 2\.5 mm), GCL (Geosynthetic Clay Liner), and geotextiles. * Immediate availability to work in Piura under a 20 x 10 schedule. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * GCL (Geosynthetic Clay Liner) Installation: Unroll, place, and align GCL layers according to project drawings, ensuring required minimum overlaps and preventing premature contamination or hydration of the material. * Geomembrane Deployment: Supervise and execute the laying of geomembrane (HDPE/LLDPE) panels, controlling excessive wrinkling (waves) and protecting the material from mechanical damage during handling. * Hot Wedge Thermal Fusion Welding: Operate automated hot wedge machinery to perform primary panel-to-panel geomembrane welds, correctly calibrating temperature, speed, and pressure parameters according to site conditions. * Extrusion Welding: Apply filler welding (resin bead) in critical zones, T-joints, patches, repairs, and complex geometric details where hot wedge access is not feasible. * Air Pressure Testing: Test double-weld seams by sealing both ends and injecting air at standardized pressure (per ASTM standards) to verify absence of pressure drops indicating leaks. * Vacuum Box Testing: Apply soapy solution and generate vacuum over extrusion weld beads to detect bubbles indicating porosity or defects. * Traceability and Reporting: Assist in marking and recording each weld joint (weld number, operator, temperature, test results) for the Quality Assurance (CQA) documentation package. * Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and preventive maintenance on assigned hot wedges, extruders, thermal blowers, and electric generators. * Other position-specific duties. **BENEFITS:** * Full payroll registration with 100% statutory benefits. * All transportation, meals, and accommodation covered by the employer. * One-month project assignment (20 x 10 regime). * Timely payments * Pleasant work environment Salary: S/.3,700\.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
