Job Summary: We are seeking a Plant Operations Technician to operate under supervision and comply with environmental and safety regulations, supervising equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operate the plant using safe practices and supervise process equipment. 2. Respond to emergencies and monitor equipment for reliability data. 3. Communicate process status and make necessary adjustments. At Hunt, a **Plant Operations Technician** undergoes a multi-year training program to operate the plant under the guidance of experienced personnel and in full compliance with all environmental and safety regulations. **What impact will you have on operations?** You will be responsible for supervising and maintaining process equipment to ensure the plant operates safely, reliably, and supports all operational objectives. Your progression will begin upon successful completion and demonstration of competence across the plant’s process units. Your primary responsibilities will include: * **Operations and Safety:** Operate the plant using safe work practices. As a certified authorized gas tester, you will enforce safe work permits (confined space, hot work, etc.). * **Emergency Response:** Detect and respond to process issues and emergency situations (fire suppression, equipment shutdown, isolation, evacuation), actively participating in the response team. * **Technical Monitoring:** Conduct routine rounds including visual inspections, checks, and monitoring of equipment (vibration, temperature, etc.), capturing reliability data. * **Maintenance and Control:** Prepare equipment for maintenance (e.g., LO/TO), return it to service, collect/analyze samples, and monitor process variables by making necessary adjustments. * **Communication and Shift Handover:** Communicate process status, equipment availability, and reliability issues to personnel and relief shift staff. **What profile do we need?** * **Education:** Technical diploma required in a relevant field (2-year program). * **Experience:** 3–6 years of direct experience required for this role (minimum 4 years of directly related experience). * **Technical Knowledge:** Essential knowledge of LNG processing, natural gas processing, as well as occupational health and safety and environmental regulations. * **Analytical Skill:** Ability to collect and interpret data in moderately complex situations. * **Languages:** Bilingual (Spanish \- English at intermediate level). * **Additional Requirements:** Valid driver’s license and ability to perform substantial physical effort (lifting heavy objects, climbing, standing for extended periods, and walking or driving throughout the process area). * **Soft Skills:** Proactive behavior, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent teamwork capability. **What will your work environment be like?** You will work in a dynamic, highly technological industrial environment with direct impact on plant safety. * **Location:** LNG Processing Plant in Melchorita, Cañete. * **Work Schedule:** Shift-based work scheme at the plant. **What you’ll find at Hunt LNG** * **Professional Stability:** A long-term project and continuous learning through our national apprentice training program. * **Real Impact:** Your role is critical to maintaining the continuity, safety, and efficiency of a strategic asset in the energy sector. * **Competitive Compensation Package** aligned with the level of responsibility. * **100% Covered EPS Health Insurance** for you and your dependents. * **Parental Insurance Subsidy**. * **Schooling Bonus**. * **Round-trip Transportation** to the Plant via company buses. * **Fully Subsidized Meals, Recreation Areas, Sports Facilities, and Laundry Services** at the plant site. * **Integration Activities** that strengthen our culture.
