**About the Position**
---------------------
We are seeking a Customs Liquidator – Importation responsible for receiving, reviewing, and processing customs documentation, ensuring correct numbering and regularization of import declarations in accordance with current customs legislation and within established deadlines.
The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate tax assessment, compliance with customs procedures, and quality of managed operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
---------------------------------
* Receive and review customs documents, certificates of origin, and documentation related to import operations.
* Review documentation in accordance with current customs legislation, regulations, rules, and procedures.
* Accurately register and validate information in customs systems and SINTAD, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
* Correctly calculate customs duties and other applicable taxes for import operations.
* Prepare proforma invoices for taxes, fines, additional fees, and other charges related to goods.
* Monitor expiration dates for various entry regimes, notifications, and associated documentation.
* Manage regularization of import DAMs and transmission of IRM where applicable.
* Perform regularization of royalties for DAMs with provisional valuation.
* Stay updated on changes in customs legislation and procedures.
* Correctly apply trade agreements enabling duty exemption or reduction.
* Review and manage information on platforms such as SUNAT and VUCE.
* Correctly apply customs legislation, procedures, penalty tables, and related regulations.
* Participate in configuring and monitoring KPIs associated with operations.
* Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to implementing more efficient processes.
* Ensure high standards of quality and compliance in departmental output.
* Maintain relationships with key clients and provide support on customs matters.
* Perform other duties related to the function as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
**Technical Knowledge**

Knowledge in the following areas will be especially valued:
* Customs entry regimes.
* Peruvian customs legislation and procedures.
* Assessment of customs duties and taxes.
* Tariff classification.
* Trade agreements and tariff benefits.
* Restricted goods.
* Assessment of IQBF products.
* DAM regularization.
* Proficiency in SUNAT, VUCE, and SINTAD.
**Requirements**
--------------
* Prior experience in similar roles within customs agencies, logistics operators, or companies engaged in international trade.
* Degree in International Trade, International Business, Administration, Customs, or related fields.
* Solid knowledge of import customs legislation and procedures.
* Experience in tax assessment and customs documentation review.
* Knowledge of tariff classification.
* Proficiency in systems and platforms related to customs management.
* Analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
* Commitment to meeting deadlines and procedural compliance.
* Ability to identify errors and ensure quality of processed information.
