A leading company in the field of underground mining is searching for top talent to fill the **JUNIOR GEOMECHANICIST** position, with the following requirements:
**JUNIOR GEOMECHANICIST**
**REQUIREMENTS:**
\* Bachelor's degree or professional title in Mining Engineering or Geology.
\* Experience in conventional mining.
\* Experience identifying fault types, joints, and rock types (ROCK MECHANICS).
\* Knowledge of geostructural and geomechanical mapping.
\* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, MineSight, Datamine, Deswik, Rocscience.
\* Knowledge of Safety Standards.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
\* Attend daily and monthly meetings \- planning.
\* Participate in development project design, conducting geomechanical studies for execution.
\* Coordinate with various departments on all geomechanics-related tasks.
\* Perform geomechanical mapping of all production and advance workings.
\* Draft geomechanical plans for all production and advance workings, updating them monthly.
\* Monitor compliance with recommendations regarding ground support quality control.
\* Provide ongoing training to workers on the use of the Geomechanical Strength Index (GSI) chart.
\* Participate in monthly measurements jointly with the surveying department, verifying compliance with standards for ground support installation.
\* Log geotechnical data from diamond drill core samples and transfer them into AutoCAD.
\* Train personnel and ensure safety, health, and environmental protection.
\* Monitor compliance with recommended ground support standards.
\* Coordinate with departments to ensure adherence to established mining methods within the unit.
\* Take responsibility for safety, procedural compliance, standards, and safe work practices.
\* Participate in geomechanical modeling processes using specialized software.
