Your journey toward impact and innovation begins here at WSP! **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental (SSOMA) regulatory frameworks for mining and construction. * Supervise workers’ proper development and application of IPERC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control) before and during each task. * Exercise authority to immediately halt any high-risk work or activity until unsafe conditions are eliminated or minimized. * Conduct ongoing site walkthroughs and inspections to identify substandard acts and conditions, especially during structural assembly or excavation work. * Review, approve, and monitor strict adherence to permits for work at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, hot work, and excavation. * Supervise correct application of energy isolation, lockout, and tagging procedures during electromechanical maintenance or installation activities. * Lead or participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, or near-misses to determine root causes and establish corrective actions. * Immediately report incidents, accidents, and hazardous conditions per project and client procedures. * Monitor appropriate use of PPE and compliance with safe work standards on-site. * Conduct internal audits and verification of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System on site. * Coordinate, execute, and evaluate emergency drills (evacuation, rescue, chemical spills) specific to a processing plant. * Comply with internal policies and procedures of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety in the activities performed, among others. **Professional Background:** * Degree-holding and licensed professional in Environmental Engineering and/or Agronomy and/or Mining Engineering and/or Geological Engineering and/or Industrial Engineering or related fields. * Master’s degree and/or postgraduate diploma and/or specialization in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Management and/or Integrated Management Systems and/or SSOMA and/or related topics. * Minimum of 12 years’ experience in roles similar to Occupational Health and Safety, HSE, Risk Prevention, SSOMA, or equivalent positions. * Experience working on mining-sector projects. * Knowledge of occupational health and safety legal regulations, management systems, IPERC, ATS, PETS, PETAR, incident investigation, and control of high-risk work activities. * Availability to work on-site under field-based work arrangements. \#Peru \#LI\-VE1 \#LI\-Onsite **Primary Location** PE\-Lima**Schedule** Full\-time**Employee Status** Temporary**Experience (Minimum Yrs.)** 8**Job Posting** Jul 2, 2026, 9:49:02 PM
