Currently, we are seeking a Logistics Assistant for our Lurín Laboratory. Main Function: Logistics management for the geotechnical laboratory: warehouse, samples, supplies, equipment, procurement, dispatches, maintenance/calibration, and traceability. Requirements: * Technical or university graduate in Logistics, Administration, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory management, procurement, and asset control; experience in laboratories, construction, geotechnical engineering, or industry is desirable. * Availability to work 48 hours per week on-site in Lurín and travel to field locations. * Proficiency in stock ledger/FEFO (First Expired, First Out), waybills, and quotations. * Valid Class A-IIb driver’s license if transporting personnel/materials. * Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel), ERP, or inventory/asset management systems. Competencies: * Warehouse and inventory management. * Logistics planning and organization. * Traceability and documentary control. * Procurement, supply chain management, and supplier negotiation. * Analysis and control of logistics costs. * Coordination with laboratories, field teams, projects, and suppliers. * Results-oriented mindset, safety awareness, orderliness, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: * Receive, verify, identify, store, and internally deliver soil, rock, and aggregate samples while maintaining traceability and chain of custody per laboratory procedures. * Manage inventory of consumables, PPE, tools, spare parts, containers, and laboratory materials; record receipts, issues, returns, and balances in stock ledger, ERP, or authorized format. * Conduct cyclic and general warehouse and asset inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and promptly report shortages, surpluses, losses, damages, or slow-moving materials. * Perform picking, packing, dispatching, and return of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies destined for fieldwork, sampling, and laboratory activities. * Manage procurement requests, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier follow-up, verifying quantities, specifications, delivery timelines, and conformity of received goods. * Coordinate with the laboratory administrator for preventive/corrective maintenance, verification, and calibration of equipment; monitor expiration dates, certificates, and operational availability status. * Maintain up-to-date asset records, assignments, movements, and equipment locations; ensure proper preservation, storage, labeling, and operational availability. * Coordinate transportation and movement of samples, materials, equipment, and, when applicable, personnel between the Lurín Laboratory, project sites, suppliers, and clients, ensuring proper transfer documentation. * Organize warehouses, racks, and storage areas applying identification, segregation, FEFO where applicable, order, cleanliness, and safety conditions to prevent loss or deterioration. * Prepare weekly reports on inventories, consumption, pending purchases, dispatches, assets, incidents, maintenance/calibrations, and the upcoming weeks’ logistics plan.
