Reading and interpretation of manufacturing drawings Job Description We are a metal-mechanical company specializing in maintenance, assembly, and manufacturing projects for mining equipment; we are currently seeking a production mechanic (lathe operator, milling machine operator, boring machine operator) for our production department. Requirements: \- Graduate of Machine Tools, Production Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, Heavy Machinery Mechanics, or related fields. \- Minimum two years of experience in this position within metal-mechanical companies. \- Operation of parallel lathes, vertical lathes, milling machines, boring machines, among others. (Desirable) \- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, tape measures, external and internal micrometers, etc.). \- Experience reading engineering drawings. \- Basic welding knowledge. \- Desirable knowledge of spare parts manufacturing for equipment such as mills or crushers. Responsibilities: \- Read and interpret mechanical part manufacturing drawings, identifying materials, shapes, dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes. \- Manufacture cylindrical, conical, eccentric, and threaded parts within minimum tolerance limits. \- Assemble and disassemble equipment and components. \- Perform milling operations on parts. \- Polish, drill, adjust, and shape parts made from various materials. \- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper operation. \- Optimize manufacturing cycle times. \- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
