




Job Summary: Customs Clearance Coordinator manages cargo release, vessel tracking, and shipping documentation to ensure efficiency in logistics operations. Key Highlights: 1. Coordination with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customers. **PROFILE REQUIREMENTS – POSITION: CUSTOMS CLEARANCE (VISTO BUENO)** **Academic Qualifications:** * Technical or university studies in **International Trade, International Business, Administration, Logistics**, or related fields. * Courses or training in **port operations, transport documentation, Bills of Lading (BL), and customs procedures** (preferred). **Work Experience:** * Minimum **1 year** of experience in similar roles related to **Customs Clearance (Visto Bueno), logistics operations, shipping lines, or freight forwarders**. * Experience coordinating with **shipping lines, freight forwarders, warehouses, and customers**. **Technical Knowledge:** * Understanding of the **Customs Clearance (Visto Bueno, VB)** process and **cargo release**. * Proficiency in handling **Bills of Lading (BL)**, endorsements, and shipping documentation. * Knowledge of **demurrage**, free days, and directives. * Proficiency in the **SINTAD system**. * Familiarity with billing related to logistics operations. * Proficiency in **corporate email**, **Google Drive**, and office tools (intermediate level). **Competencies and Skills:** * Organization and **tracking of pending orders**. * Ability to perform **documentary analysis and control**. * Effective communication with customers, shipping lines, and internal departments. * Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. * Ability to work under pressure. * Teamwork and customer orientation. **Additional Requirements:** * Availability to comply with **operational working hours**, as required by service needs. * Strong sense of **responsibility, confidentiality, and professional ethics**. * Ability to adapt to internal procedures and company policies. **Job Responsibilities:** * Submit the Customs Clearance (VB) request, prioritizing information specified by the relevant department. * Track vessels to obtain exact arrival and discharge dates. * Confirm with shipping lines—via email and web platforms—the type of BL and applicable demurrage free days. * Direct cargo according to instructions provided by the customer and/or involved department. * Manage Customs Clearance (VB) for dispatch, following instructions from the responsible department. * Request corresponding payments for VB, BL issuance, and Gate In (when required by the shipping line for VB) via SINTAD, upon receipt of the payment validation email. * Manage endorsements of Bills of Lading (BL). * Upload the final memo to the corresponding shared folder once vessel discharge is completed. * Upload to **Drive** invoices corresponding to requested payments, no later than the day following payment execution. * Prepare **required letters** and manage **invoice corrections**, as applicable. * Manage **warehouse changes** for returning empty containers. * Send an **email to the SAC Executive**, notifying completion of **Customs Clearance (VB)** and executed cargo direction. * Record **demurrage days** and VB completion in the **SINTAD** system. * Verify and maintain an **updated tracking list of pending orders** awaiting processing. * Maintain a **Drive-based record** of customer credentials for various shipping lines—both for VB and cargo direction purposes. This record will be shared with the executive; if the customer requires support for credential creation, the coordinator will manage it accordingly. * Coordinate **VB cargo releases** with the respective freight forwarder. * Reconfirm **cargo release** with the shipping line via email. * Request **demurrage payment**, if necessary, to renew the **final memo**.
