**Who are we looking for?**
* Technical or university degree in Administration, International Business, Foreign Trade, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related fields.
* **Minimum 2 years of experience in imports**, international procurement, or foreign trade.
* Experience negotiating with international suppliers.
* Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, logistics operators, and customs agents.
* Desired specialization in cost and budget management.
* **Intermediate or advanced English** (mandatory for quoting and negotiating).
**Your main responsibilities will include:**
* Identifying, evaluating, and developing international suppliers—primarily in China—via B2B platforms, international trade fairs, and chambers of commerce.
* Analyzing and validating supplier reliability by assessing experience, certifications, production capacity, and export history.
* Managing requests for and evaluation of international catalogs, technical specifications, samples, and quotations.
* Preparing comparative supplier tables considering costs, quality, delivery times, commercial terms, and Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, among others).
* Presenting reports and recommendations to management for supplier selection and purchasing decisions.
* Administering and maintaining an up-to-date international supplier database, periodically evaluating their performance.
* Coordinating with Quality and Procurement departments to validate product technical specifications and compliance with required standards.
* Negotiating prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and other commercial conditions with international suppliers.
* Managing sample orders and pilot purchases to validate product quality prior to importation.
* Coordinating the full import process with freight forwarders, logistics operators, and customs agents, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
* Reviewing and controlling import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, Certificate of Origin, and other customs documents).
* Tracking the status of international shipments, coordinating customs clearance and nationalization of goods until delivery to warehouse.
* Monitoring timelines and costs associated with the import process, proposing improvements to optimize the logistics chain.
* Preparing management reports and KPIs related to suppliers, import timelines, logistics costs, and delivery compliance.
