GRC INGENIERÍA Y SERVICIOS S.A.C. is seeking a Design Engineer I with experience in mechanical part design, proficiency in SolidWorks, and technical oversight of manufacturing processes within the metal-mechanical and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and modeling of mechanical parts, equipment, and systems using SolidWorks.
2. Preparation of fabrication, assembly, and exploded-view drawings.
3. Technical supervision during fabrication, assembly, and installation stages.
**GRC INGENIERÍA Y SERVICIOS S.A.C.**, a company operating in the **metal-mechanical and industrial sector**, is currently seeking a **DESIGN ENGINEER I** to join our Engineering team.
We are looking for a professional experienced in **mechanical part and component design**, preparation of fabrication drawings, and technical supervision of manufacturing processes, with advanced proficiency in **SolidWorks** and knowledge of metal-mechanical manufacturing.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Design and model mechanical parts, components, equipment, and systems using **SolidWorks**.
* Develop 3D models and fabrication, assembly, and exploded-view drawings.
* Interpret technical requirements, customer specifications, and operational conditions.
* Conduct field technical surveys for component development or redesign.
* Perform preliminary mechanical strength, tolerance, fit, and assembly analyses.
* Prepare calculation reports and technical documentation.
* Supervise designs throughout the **fabrication, assembly, and installation** stages.
* Coordinate with Production to address inquiries, observations, and design-related modifications.
* Modify and adjust drawings and models according to needs identified during fabrication.
* Provide technical support to Production and Assembly departments.
* Prepare and maintain up-to-date drawings, bills of materials, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation.
* Manage part, component, and assembly coding.
* Conduct technical inspections and dimensional verification of finished products.
* Participate in functional testing and validation of developed components and equipment.
* Analyze results and propose improvements aimed at enhancing reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
* Participate in projects focused on design and manufacturing process improvement and standardization.
* Promote the use of new engineering technologies and tools.
**REQUIREMENTS**
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in **Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields**.
* **Minimum 3 years of experience** in mechanical part and component design and engineering.
* Experience in **mechanical part design, drawing preparation, and manufacturing supervision**.
* Experience working in companies within the **mining, metal-mechanical, industrial, or related sectors**.
* Advanced proficiency in **SolidWorks**.
* Experience using **mechanical simulation and analysis (CAE) tools**.
* Experience interpreting and preparing mechanical drawings.
* Knowledge of mechanical and metal-mechanical manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of materials used in mechanical manufacturing.
* Knowledge of tolerances, fits, and assembly criteria.
* Knowledge of **industrial hydraulics**.
* Experience preparing calculation reports.
* Intermediate-level proficiency in **Microsoft Office**.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
* Experience designing components and equipment for the **mining sector**.
* Experience conducting field technical surveys.
* Experience supervising parts during fabrication and assembly.
* Knowledge of machining, welding, and metal-mechanical fabrication processes.
* Experience performing simulations using CAE tools.
* Knowledge of manufacturing process optimization.
