We are currently in a growth and expansion phase and are looking to incorporate talent for our brand Tumico — a Peruvian culinary concept specializing in soft-serve ice cream, desserts, and beverages, aiming to deliver high-quality products and distinctive experiences to its customers. **Job Description** As a Barista, you will be part of the team responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving beverages and products from Tumico Cafés & Especialidades, applying established techniques, recipes, and procedures while consistently upholding standards of quality, flavor, presentation, hygiene, and service. This role combines technical barista expertise, beverage preparation, customer service, and workstation management. **Responsibilities** * Prepare, assemble, and present beverages according to established recipes, techniques, procedures, portion sizes, and standards. * Operate the espresso machine, grinder, and other relevant station equipment correctly. * Apply coffee and beverage preparation techniques accurately. * Verify beverage quality, flavor, temperature, and presentation before delivery. * Greet and assist customers courteously and efficiently. * Receive, record, and confirm orders, including cash handling when assigned cashier duties. * Perform suggestive selling of products, add-ons, or complementary items as appropriate. * Prepare and deliver orders completely, accurately, and promptly. * Maintain a well-stocked, organized, clean, and hygienic workstation during operations. * Perform pre-service preparation and restocking of necessary supplies. * Provide support to other functions or stations as required. **Requirements** * Technical or specialized training in barista skills, cafés, beverages, or related fields. * Certifications, courses, or specialized studies in barista skills are highly valued. * Prior experience as a Barista, preferably in cafés, restaurants, hotels, or food-and-beverage establishments. * Experience in espresso preparation, milk-based beverages, cold beverages, and operation of professional coffee equipment is preferred. * Knowledge of espresso preparation, basic grinder operation and calibration, espresso machine operation, extraction techniques, milk texturization, milk handling, and preparation of hot and cold beverages. * Knowledge of food handling and hygiene, equipment cleaning and operational maintenance, customer service, and suggestive selling. **We seek individuals with** * Technical proficiency in barista skills. * Customer orientation. * Precision and consistency in preparation. * Ability to perform effectively under pressure. * Organizational skills and attention to detail. * Speed and efficiency without compromising quality. * Capacity for learning and adaptation. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team. **Vacancies and Conditions** Full Time: 2 vacancies * Shift: 8 hours * Remuneration: S/ 1,500 monthly Part Time: 2 vacancies * Shift: 4 hours * Remuneration: S/ 750 monthly Work location: Miraflores, Lima Working days: Tuesday to Sunday Day off: Monday Start date: Immediate availability Hiring: Formal employment (payroll) **We Offer** * Training on our products, processes, and standards. * Opportunity for learning and professional development. * Join a growing Peruvian culinary brand. * Dynamic and team-oriented work environment. * Discounts on products from our brands.
