We invite you to join our team as the new **HSS Coordinator** and be part of a greener future. **Job Description** -------------------------- Manage safety, occupational health, and asset security across all phases of assigned projects through risk identification and management, implementation of controls, and promotion of a preventive culture—ensuring safe and healthy workplaces free from injuries, incidents, and damage, protecting people and assets while supporting business strategy execution. * Lead comprehensive HSS management for the assigned construction project, ensuring effective field implementation of corporate strategy, standards, and procedures for prevention, control, and effective mitigation of risks, achieving sustained improvements in HSS performance. * Ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations, corporate requirements, and international best practices, maintaining high HSS standards. * Provide visible and technical HSS leadership, advising the project team and contractors while promoting a proactive safety culture based on leading by example. * Manage the HSS performance of contractors and subcontractors, including validation of documentation and field verification of compliance. * Plan and conduct HSS inspections, audits, and observations, ensuring identification of deviations and effective closure of corrective actions. * Lead and participate in incident and accident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures. * Manage and maintain up-to-date project HSS documentation aligned with legal, corporate, and operational requirements. * Develop HSS capabilities within the project through training, awareness-raising, and effective use of management system tools. * Ensure management of occupational health, hygiene, asset security, and emergency preparedness—including controls, response plans, and resources. * Administer and report project HSS indicators, providing reliable information and managing the function autonomously in coordination with the Projects HSS Manager. * Provide support in HSS management for other construction projects as required by the company. **Requirements** -------------- **Education Level:** * University degree (certified) and licensed professional. **Specialization:** * Related engineering disciplines (OHS, electrical, industrial, mechanical, environmental, civil, etc.) **Additional Knowledge:** * Solid knowledge of applicable Peruvian legal regulations concerning safety, health, and security in the energy and construction sectors. * Valid driver’s license and experience operating pickup trucks. * Intermediate English proficiency preferred. **Experience:** * Minimum 8 years of experience in similar or supervisory roles for projects, preferably within electric power or mining companies. * Experience in managing and supervising Safety, Occupational Health, and Asset Security throughout all project lifecycle phases—including development, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operation—ensuring early identification and effective risk control at each stage. * Experience designing and implementing comprehensive HSS strategies focused on prevention, control, and mitigation of risks of all types (working at height, energized systems, lifting operations, confined spaces, mobile equipment, etc.). * Experience developing and implementing Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems in Peru. * Experience in emergency management and accident investigation. * Experience in contractor management. * Experience in planning and coordinating special transport operations. **Additional Information** ------------------------- * Medical insurance, Life Insurance (Law), SCTR * Bonuses. * Location: Piura * Temporary position By clicking the link above or any third-party links within this posting, you will leave this site and proceed to a third-party website where the terms and privacy policy of that third-party website apply.
