Analyze and interpret environmental quality data for optimization Our company, Compañia Minera Antapaccay, is seeking top talent to fill the position of: Operations and Closure Environmental Engineer **Responsibilities:** Ensure strict compliance with environmental commitments (IGAs, permits, licenses), corporate standards, and ISO 14001/50001 standards, supervising environmental quality monitoring, waste management, and performance of environmental service contractors. Manage and respond to inspections conducted by competent environmental authorities (OEFA, OSINERGMIN, ANA), handling the resolution of observations and providing technical\-legal responses to Administrative Sanctioning Proceedings (PAS) to safeguard operations. Analyze and interpret operational environmental quality data using databases, statistical tools, and Artificial Intelligence applications to optimize costs, budgets, and prevent on-site contingencies or emergencies. Antapaccay is a copper mining operation belonging to the Glencore Group since 2013\. It commenced operations in November 2012, following several years of exploration investment aimed at extending the life of the Tintaya mine. The mining settlement is located in Espinar Province, Cusco Region, at 4,100 meters above sea level. This operation enables us to continue contributing to the sustainable development of Espinar Province, not only by fostering direct and indirect employment opportunities and boosting the local economy through procurement from local businesses, but also by investing in social projects targeted at communities within our area of influence. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Biology, Agricultural Engineering, Chemistry, Mining Engineering, or related fields. Professional registration (desirable). Minimum 3 years of work experience in environmental management and handling environmental inspections and supervision. Postgraduate qualification (specialization, diploma, and/or master’s degree) in Environmental Management is desirable. Other Qualifications: Experience in responding to environmental emergencies; Languages: Intermediate English (desirable); Computer Skills: Intermediate-level Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, and Ms. Project (desirable).
