We currently have an opening for the position of Sales Agronomist covering the Mid-North region. We seek a leadership-oriented, experienced, and highly motivated individual whose primary purpose will be to ensure implementation of the commercial strategy jointly with the sales team—developing nutritional solutions and digital tools focused on the needs of banana farmers in the specified regions. The Sales Agronomist’s management focuses on the commercial implementation and development of our high-tech value proposition.
**Responsibilities**

The Sales Agronomist at Yara ensures achievement of the sales budget for their assigned territory by providing customers/channels with optimal agricultural nutrition solutions to increase their profitability—and, in turn, generate profitability for the company—executing channel development plans, planning and developing strategies, and implementing actions that strengthen communication, recognition, and positioning of the brand, fertilizers, and services—ultimately achieving customer retention and implementation of value propositions.
Sales Budget: Achieve sales volume across all product lines while maintaining portfolio indicators established by the Company to contribute to business profitability.
Sales Management: Prospect customers within the territory. Research the target market to plan commercial activities and identify farmers’ and channel needs, offering them efficient solutions.
Customer Management: Plan and conduct sales and technical advisory visits to ensure deal closure, always aiming for customer satisfaction and retention.
Marketing Management: Execute Demand Generation activities aligned with the assigned territory and crops—including field days, point-of-sale brand activations, technical talks, crop-specific business plans, product marketing plans, value proposition execution, tracking of crop-specific strategy implementation, and training for distributor and/or customer sales forces.
Sales Planning: Ensure monthly sales targets for the assigned territory by delivering accurate forecasts that guarantee product availability for sale, working in close synchronization with the Business Development team.
Credit and Portfolio Management: Ensure collection and updating of credit documentation and information; support collections and portfolio recovery efforts.
Design the territory’s sales plan, sales forecasts, new market penetration strategy, marketing activities execution, high-tech strategy—all ensuring budget achievement. Develop the market for nutritional solutions tailored to local crops.
Budget Control: Plan and execute the expense budget, seeking rational and effective use of allocated resources.
HESQ Management: Know and comply with the Company’s HESQ Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines, and standards—based on the Safe by Choice philosophy—as well as applicable legal requirements; know and fulfill other requirements defined in the HESQ Responsibility Matrix associated with their position/role.
**Profile**
-----------
Agricultural Engineering professional with demonstrated competencies in commercial and technical areas of vegetable, fruit, rice, corn, and potato crop nutrition.
Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the agribusiness sector, with deep knowledge of and experience with local customers and producers.
The selected candidate must reside in: Trujillo, Chimbote, Barranca.
Experience in strategic planning and execution of marketing activities, organization and implementation of events for customers and/or corporate clients will be valued.
